ECFMG|FAIMER is seeking a System Engineer I in the Philadelphia, PA office. 

The System Engineer I is responsible for supporting the needs of operations by maintaining the enterprise infrastructure environment, performing proactive monitoring and maintenance of its components. This role functions in conjunction with Client Services providing support services as needed. The System Engineer I is familiar with various service delivery methodologies and activities supporting technical initiatives including requirements creation, implementation, documentation, monitoring, and supporting day-to-day operations.


  • Technical knowledge of a wide range of network, PC, and server operating systems.
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Windows Servers, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity and technical knowledge of hyperconverged technologies.
  • Exposure to implementations migrating from on-premise environments to cloud-based models.
  • Exceptional ability to be flexible with changing priorities and business needs, handling pressure and competing demands, creatively identifying solutions to complex problems while adhering to deadlines.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, analytical, keen attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in understanding and applying best practices across multiple technological domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise with current technology trends.
  • Strong positive customer service attitude while interacting with internal and external contacts.

  • Provides 1st and 2nd level remote and on-site technical support for the server and desktop environments.
  • Supports the daily operations for on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure components, ensuring the accessibility of clients and host devices across the enterprise network.
  • Provides support for all ECFMG Microsoft O365 Tenant product services; administer and maintain system accounts through Active Directory.
  • Performs recurring IS operational tasks to ensure the environment remains in good health; monitors resources, conducts upgrade and maintenance tasks on hardware and software, resolves technical problems.


  • Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery, developing new system structures when necessary.
  • Proactively conducts research on emerging technologies and standards in support of system software procurement and development efforts.


  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned by Manager, IS Operations.

General Support

  • Participates in enterprise-wide on-call rotation.
  • Provides technical support and serve as a resource point for Client Services.
  • Maintains level knowledge of areas of responsibility through ongoing training and education, continuously pursuing self-advancement on improving technical acumen.
  • Functions independently to effectively overcome roadblocks in efforts of reaching technology and business goals.


  • 1-3 years in technology services serving as a Jr. Systems Engineer, IT Support Services Specialist, IT Support Analyst, or similar with experience in the following;
  • Hands-on experience in server administration, Windows, Linux, physical/virtual.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies such as Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy Administration, DHCP, DNS
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft products both on-prem and O365
  • Exposure supporting hybrid and cloud-based compute and storage solutions (Azure preferred)
  • Experience with reading and creating documentation for both technical and non-technical use.
  • Proficiency in supporting virtualized and non-virtualized desktop and server systems
  • Experience working both independently and in a team environment


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. The equivalent in related work experience and self-study may be substituted.
  • Professional certifications spanning multiple disciplines such as Microsoft MCSE, Red Hat, CompTIA, Oracle, VMWare, or similar are a plus.
