ECFMG|FAIMER is looking for a professional and dedicated HR Business Partner for its Human Resources department in Philadelphia, PA area.

Serves as the human capital strategy partner for assigned client groups.  Builds high trust relationships with leaders and employees.  Advises people leaders at all levels on people processes (performance goal setting and performance management, compensation administration, employee relations, etc.).  Ensures client organizations are optimally staffed and designed and that structure and staffing evolve to meet changing business needs and conditions.  Proactively plans for workforce implications of strategy and changing market conditions.  Ensures fairness of HR actions for both employees and ECFMG|FAIMER.  Provides training, coaching and counseling as needed to develop leaders and teams.

This role is responsible for engaging other HR teams (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations) as needed to ensure holistic, consistent HR support for client needs.  Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure that hiring managers are appropriately skilled and engaged in the hiring process.  Partners with the Total Rewards team to ensure appropriate, competitive compensation levels for clients.  Partners with HR Operations to ensure all human capital processes are well communicated and completed in a thoughtful and timely way by all client groups.  Keeps HR peers informed of issues that impact client groups and leverages the thought leadership of the team to provide solutions. 

This role is expected to maintain a strong working knowledge of the HRBP discipline and external issues that impact ECFMG|FAIMER and assigned client groups.


  • Establishes high degree of trust and credibility with employees at all levels.
  • Builds relationships with employees and managers in designated areas:
  • Participates actively in the recruitment process and ensures new hires are appropriately and thoughtfully acclimated and integrated into ECFMG|FAIMER and their teams
  • Attends departmental staff meetings occasionally, in partnership with managers, to engage, support relationships, provide training and coaching as appropriate
  • Gives and accepts candid feedback to build relationships and improve effectiveness
  • Helps leaders and employees address employee relations issues. If necessary, conducts investigations and brings issues to resolution.  In more complex or sensitive cases, escalates issues to the HR VP.
  • Assists and guides managers on corrective actions and or termination recommendations, ensuring fairness
  • Advises managers in preparing for contested unemployment hearings;
  • Assists the HR Operations team as needed for worker's compensation claims;
  • Develops a forward-looking workforce plan for hiring and team development based on strategy, expected talent movement and attrition, emerging business issues, etc. Engages Talent Acquisition team and Finance partners to ensure planning meets the business needs and budget of the client.
  • Partners with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team to develop and execute effective search strategies and to coach hiring managers as necessary for interviewing skills.
  • Leads the annual merit process with managers, ensuring that merit pay processes are fair and consistent

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.
  • At least five years HR experience required.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
