The Change Manager (CM) will play a key role in ensuring a portfolio of projects and change initiatives meet objectives on time, budget and schedule by increasing employee adoption and usage.  The CM will focus on the people side of change including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.  The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.

DUTIES

Change Management

  • Manage change portfolio
  • Support change management at the enterprise level
  • Drive adoption and proficiency of changes within the enterprise
  • Work with other leaders to develop short and long-term change strategies for enterprise
  • Partner with managers on planning for change
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to plan for impact on talent within affected teams
  • Create training materials regarding change management methodology and use it appropriately with personnel in relation to the change(s)
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative
  • Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics in partnership with project managers
  • Create actionable deliverables for change project (communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.)
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Partner with other training and development roles in the enterprise to ensure effectiveness with training and communication plans
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs. May be asked to lead these programs, depending upon the size of the initiative
  • Provide direct support and coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they help their staff through transitions
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Coach and mentor team members on change approach
  • Motivate and influence team members

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years of change management experience using industry standard frameworks such as ADKAR, Kotter's model, Accelerated Implementation methodology (AIM), etc.
  • Experience assessing stakeholder needs and developing comprehensive communication strategies that span the lifecyle of a project.
  • Understanding and experience with Project Management methodologies and process improvement methodologies
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Educational / training design and development experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Certification in change management from Prosci and/or CCMP a plus
  • PMP a plus
