ECFMG is seeking a Manager, Certification and Examination Support Services in the Philadelphia, PA office. The Manager of Certification and Examination Support Services Supervisor is accountable for The operational implementation of ECFMG Certification and USMLE-related policies and procedures; The oversight of the efficient and effective operational performance of the Certification and Examination Support Services Department, which includes the Certification Verification Service (CVS) program, the issuance of ECFMG Certificates, and examination registrations, including USMLE and the International Foundations of Medicine (IFOM) examination and the marketing and expansion of the Certification Verification Service (CVS). The Manager also serves as primary ECFMG operations staff representative to the USMLE program for matters relating to the USMLE exam program. The Manager develops and implements procedures and policies and provides training for staff accordingly.

DUTIES:

ECFMG Certification and USMLE-related Policies

  • Serves as ECFMG expert on ECFMG Certification and USMLE-related policies
  • Serves as primary ECFMG operations staff representative to the USMLE program for matters relating to the USMLE exam program
  • In collaboration with AVP, develops and oversees ECFMG's operational policies to implement and maintain ECFMG Certification and USMLE exam programs and policies.

Efficient and Effective Services

  • Ensures that all operational functions in purview (issuance of ECFMG Certificates, ECFMG exam chart history USMLE exam registrations, USMLE score reporting, USMLE transcript issuance,  CVS report generation) are executed accurately and within established SLAs

CVS Business Development

  • Interfaces with external bodies to provide demonstration of CVS service
  • Works to update and enhance ECFMG's CVS service, including on-line materials

Client Management

  • Communicates and works closely with representatives of NBME (including USMLE Secretariat and IFOM team) and FSMB in order to build and maintain a collaborative working relationship

Technology Lead

  • Works with IT to resolve system issues
  • Serves as the product owner for ECFMG Certification, USMLE Registration and CVS enhancement efforts or oversees work of product owner.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional organization, preferably with part of that experience in supervision/management with responsibility for staffing and operations.
  • Experience in policy development and implementation preferred. Proven training and communication skills required. Customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of credentialing or other document management processes, preferred. Experience with work-flow systems preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master degree preferred.

The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) is a not for profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA. ECFMG has the responsibility of evaluating qualifications of graduates of international medical schools who seek entry into postgraduate medical education positions in the United States. International medical graduates who wish to enter an ACGME-accredited residency or a fellowship program in the U.S. must be certified by ECFMG. The current requirements for ECFMG Certification include passing portions of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
