ECFMG is seeking a Training and Development Manager in the Philadelphia, PA office. The Training and Development Manager will manage all leadership development and training programs to ensure that talent needs are identified across the organization and training and development opportunities are designed and delivered to match those needs, while supporting an environment of empowerment for employees. The Training and Development manager will  coordinate the execution of the Change Management Office (CMO) in partnership with the Project Management Office (PMO), partner with leadership to identify needs, create, and execute developmental training & coaching plans for managers and high-potential employees, in support of succession planning goals, and manage enterprise-wide engagement and performance management programs.  They will also participate in the development of Total Rewards HR approach.

  • Coordinates and co-facilitates all Leadership Challenge workshops
  • Coordinates and facilitates all Leadership Journey workshops and coaches participants on supervisory skills
  • Coordinates the nomination process, enrollment and annual luncheon for alumni related to Leadership Philadelphia Core program.
  • Acts as the HR managerial liaison for LIEB Works
  • Provides input on managerial promotions and recommends additional support, training and/or developmental needs for the incumbent

Training Programs

  • Manages the enterprise-wide training program (Learning Academy)
  • Coordinates and delivers new manager orientation training, including policy review and employment process for direct reports
  • Partners with executives, managers and HR Generalists to identify, develop and/or deliver training programs or workshops to ensure effective and consistent managerial skills across the organization in support of the values and the strategic plans; including such skills as delegation, holding staff accountable, productivity, communication, giving feedback, motivation & recognition, meeting planning, time management, people development and other skill sets needed for success in key leadership and management roles within each area.
  • Assist in the development of a new employee orientation, on-boarding programs, and training, including videos for regional sites and documents.
  • Plans and organizes the Learning Academy with dates, times, meeting rooms, trainers, content, attendees, communication, etc.
  • Partners with Recruitment Employee Relations Manager to ensure compliance, delivery and tracking of all compliance training programs such as Sexual Harassment Prevention and Diversity

Change Management Office

  • Facilitates the assignment of Change Agents to various enterprise projects, in partnership with the PMO
  • Drives and supports the continuous growth, engagement, and communication of the CMO with senior leadership, management and employees
  • Ensures the enterprise has sufficient number of Change Agents trained across the enterprise

Developmental Plans for Succession Planning

  • Partners with Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Recruitment & Employee Relations Manager to identify managers who have development needs in current position or for succession planning in the areas such as supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, and/or communication skills and proposes a developmental plan to include coaching in identified areas, training, measurements and follow-up. Provides the actual coaching/training when agreed upon with VP, HR.
  • Partners with managers and Recruitment & Employee Relations Manager to identify high-potential employees for succession planning and helps develop a plan for training and/or coaching.
  • Reviews all exit interviews and partners with leadership to assess and deliver any coaching and feedback needed.

Performance Management

  • Oversees the performance management process in partnership with the Compensation and Benefits Manager and assigned HR staff.
  • Plans and coordinates performance management training for employees, management and executives.
  • Plans and sends communications related to performance management.

Engagement Programs

  • Partners with other HR management in the development and communication of Total Rewards HR approach.
  • Manages and coordinates employee recognition program with HR Generalists and designated HRIS staff.
  • Acts as the managerial oversight for the Mentoring Program.


  • Is a member of the HR management team and collaborates with all aspects of HR management.
  • Participates in strategic planning and budgeting for all HR disciplines.
  • Acts as a backup for HR Generalists for recruitment and employee relations situation as needed.
  • Acts as a backup for other HR managers in their absences, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by VP


  • At least five years of experience in an upper management position
  • Simultaneous supervision of multiple managers/teams
  • Training and presentation experience with large groups
  • Experience with individual coaching and mentoring at the manager level
  • Experience with organizational Change Management
  • Core knowledge of other Human Resources disciplines


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
  • Professional training for coaching and/or mentoring skills (certification preferred)
