ECFMG is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager in the Philadelphia, PA office. The Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing special projects across operations, including projects that support ECFMG's strategic and operational initiatives.  This position is responsible for outreach efforts to raise ECFMG's thought leadership with regulatory organizations and initiatives to meet domestic and international best practice standards for accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements.  In addition, the Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for the 2023 Accreditation communication plan, a monitoring program to track the number of schools accredited and the development of a Grant Program in support of ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation Requirement.

DUTIES

  1. Design, implement, and lead outreach efforts to raise ECFMG's thought leadership with regulatory organizations
    • Identify discussion topics of interest with regulatory authorities
    • Coordinate the development of presentations
    • Arrange and coordinate logistics for webinars
    • Develop white papers and best practice resources for regulatory authorities
  2. Lead initiatives to advance organizational quality by meeting domestic and international best practice standards for accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
    • Monitor, identify and evaluate opportunities for ECFMG to seek and attain national or international recognitions, accreditations, regulatory requirements, or certifications
    • Assess ECFMG's readiness for accreditation based on standards and compare to preliminary assessment
    • Develop timelines and work plans for achieving designations
    • Identify deficiencies based on a gap assessment and develop and implement plan for addressing these deficiencies
    • Collect and track all documents that substantiate accreditation standards and measures
    • Coordinate with managers and leaders to ensure planning elements of requirements are being met
  3. Lead the development and implementation of a communication plan to raise awareness of ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation Requirement
    • Develops communication campaign to promote ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation policy to international accrediting organizations, governmental agencies, regulatory authorities, and domestic organizations
    • Identify opportunities to present at international conferences and submit abstracts or posters
    • Prepares presentation and meeting material in support of ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation requirement and presents as needed
    • Serves as point of contact for all applicant and other public inquiries regarding ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation requirement
    • Develop ongoing communication campaign calendar to ensure frequent and routine messages
    • Provide input into ECFMG's strategic initiative to help medical students make better and more informed decisions on school selection
  4. Lead efforts to develop a monitoring program to track the number of schools accredited
  5. Support the development and evaluation of a Grant Program in support of ECFMG's 2023 Accreditation Requirement
    • Facilitate the development of a concept plan and framework for a funding program
    • Led efforts to identify program participation criteria, funding mechanism, target audience
  6. Support Senior Vice President efforts in IAMRA's membership committee

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years progressive experience preferably in one of the following disciplines:  medical or health professions regulation, healthcare accreditation, credentialing verification, international affairs, government regulation, or medical education.

EDUCATION

  • Master's degree preferred.
