ECFMG is seeking a Director of Technology Services in the Philadelphia, PA office. 

The Director of Technology Services leads the organizations that provide the technology infrastructure and user experience services for the organization.  This role is a key leader within the Information Services leadership team, and as such, is expected to be a driver in the creation of team culture and accountability in consistent service delivery.  Working with the CIO, and other leaders, this role will craft the roadmap for services provided by IS to the business with a focus on consistent, enterprise wide, and highly reliable application of new technologies to support changing business needs.

In conjunction with the CIO, this role acts as a liaison connecting technology and business strategies to help achieve timely alignment of business and technical capabilities.  In this role, the Director ensures that the quality of the service delivered meets the requirements of the business functions of ECFMG.  This role ensures the direction of services within KPI for operations and customer service expectations and will establish new measures as needed to support technology and the business.

This role requires advanced leadership and communications skills, as well as in depth understanding of the technology industry and its impact on the business. 


  • Leads Infrastructure Services, Client Services, Analytics, and Data base teams to ensure service continuity and business alignment
  • Manages vendor relationships
  • Financial management for all service areas
  • IS Sponsorship of PMO projects
  • Develops teams of high functioning managers and technologists
  • Provides leadership in shaping strategic business & technology service offerings
  • Establishes working relationships with strategic technology providers
  • Provides industry thought leadership and expertise
  • Acts as a mentor to others within the organization
  • Represents IS Leadership within the business as a vocal advocate and advisor
  • Presents complex technical materials to both technical teams and business partners
  • Leads development multi-year roadmaps for current and future technical services
  • Produces technology roadmaps in support of the business vision and strategy
  • Ensures implementation solutions support architecture objectives (availability, scalability, performance, security, etc.), as appropriate.
  • Utilizes advanced leadership skills especially in the areas of persuasion, influence, conceptualizing solutions and problem solving.


  • Proven managerial and leadership skills
  • Strong budget management capabilities
  • Extensive experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
  • Analytical skills, including critical thinking and problem solving
  • Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS integration and management frameworks
  • Understanding of NIST, GDPR and other information security controls and their impact on technology delivery
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools
  • Knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Knowledge of SQL in a relational database
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud
  • Must be passionate and enthusiastic about modern technologies, industry trends and new opportunities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the application of technology development best practices.
  • Thorough understanding and experience delivering solutions through Scrum, Agile, and traditional software development lifecycles (SDLC).
  • Experience in system methodologies
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.


  • Minimum 15 years of broad reaching professional leadership experience in the transformation and operations of Information Services teams.
  • Strong knowledge of both the implementation and operations of technology within an enterprise environment.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Liberal Arts, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required. Technical certifications, leadership certifications, and client experience are strongly preferred.
