FAIMER is seeking a Director, Regional Initiatives in the Philadelphia, PA office. The Director, Regional Initiatives is responsible for leading the development and operation of FAIMER Regional Institutes, and for planning development of new regional initiatives. Teaches at FAIMER education programs, assists with regional institute faculty development and produces scholarly outputs from educational activities.

DUTIES

  • Leads the development and operations of FAIMER Regional Institutes in conjunction with local faculty, including budget, memoranda of understanding and curriculum design.
  • Plans development of new regional initiatives.
  • Represents FAIMER at meetings, and conferences
  • Organizes and manages program for enhancing skills of faculty leaders of Regional Institutes.
  • Teaches at FAIMER Institute, FAIMER Regional Institutes, FAIMER webinars and other online programs, and other FAIMER education activities.
  • Marker for the FAIMER distance learning programs
  • Prepares manuscripts on FAIMER Regional Institute activities and produces other scholarly outputs
  • Assists Vice President with preparation of written materials for Board of Directors' meetings
  • Works with Assistant Vice President in the FAIMER Faculty exchange strategic initiative
  • Participates in strategic planning of FAIMER Education programs.
  • Other duties as requested by supervisor.

  • 5+ years of experience in field of education preferably health professions education
  • International development experience
  • Project planning and management experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Researching/writing/editing experience

EDUCATION

  • Master's degree required, preferably in health professions education or education.
  • Clinical degree (in medicine, nursing or other health professions) with 3-5 years' experience in education is acceptable. PhD preferred (health professions education, education, psychology or public health).
